Mike Fisher, the ‘brains behind 118ͼ¿â’ has over 26 years of experience in the field of personal and professional development. Mike has become known as one of the leading experts in the field of anger management in the UK and has contributed to many radio interviews, magazine and newspaper articles and television documentaries including ‘NASTY BOSSES’, ‘THE ANGRIEST MAN IN BRITAIN’, ‘LOSING IT’, ‘ VIOLENT FATHERS’ with Kilroy Silk, ‘BIG BROTHER’S LITTLE BROTHER’ and a 1-hour programme for BBC3 ‘CAN’T STOP LOSING MY COOL’ in March 2005. As well as a very potent documentary produced by Landmark Films for Channel Five called ‘BEAT IT: ANGRY WITH MY FATHER’.

Due to the growing demand for anger management literature Rider Books, part of Random House publishers commissioned Mike Fisher to write a book from his unique perspective called ‘BEATING ANGER’ published in February 2005. Over 65 000 copies have been sold since its release. His second book, ‘MINDFULNESS AND THE ART OF MANAGING ANGER’ was published by Leaping Hare Press in 2012. It has since been translated into Spanish.

Mike originally trained in psychosynthesis with the Institute of Psychosynthesis, completed a Diploma in Individual Psychology and Adlerian Counselling with the Adlerian Society of Great Britain, as well as a Diploma in Humanistic Psychology and Group Facilitation with the Institute for the Development of Human Potential, affiliated with the University of Surrey. He has also trained in multi-culturalism, Imago Therapy and The Gottman Method for couple’s work, Trauma Incident Reduction Therapy (TIR) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.

Mike was co-founder of the Centre for Men’s Development in London and facilitated a men’s group for 13years. He became centre director for the Mankind Project and continued to participate in men’s work for 13 years alongside founding 118ͼ¿â. All this contributes to Mike bringing his own unique blend of different models, theories, and practical applications to this challenging and specialised field of anger management making the integration of the work enjoyable, fun and exciting. His wealth and depth of knowledge and experience gives clients the added benefit of his expertise.
